Length and Width of Building: Measurements of the building is needed to ensure correct length of truss as well as the correct quantity of trusses are provided.
Application: Residential, Agricultural, Commercial have different requirements for truss loading
Spacing of Trusses: Common truss spacing for Residential Buildings are 16”, 19.2” and 24” on center. For Agricultural trusses (aka pole barn), common spacing are 8’, 10’, and 12’
Pitch/ Truss Height: Desired incline or total height of your truss system
Location: Different locations have different specifications of loading requirements.
